Director Boyapati Srinu, known for redefining mass action cinema in Tollywood, is reportedly preparing a massive pan-India project with Tamil star Suriya.
After delivering blockbuster hits like Simha, Legend, and Akhanda with Nandamuri Balakrishna, Boyapati is now eyeing a new collaboration. Industry buzz suggests Suriya loved the powerful script narrated recently.
Boyapati’s most successful combination remains his films with Balakrishna, which set box office records and established his signature high-voltage mass style. However, his projects with other stars mostly underperformed, prompting cautious steps for his next venture. Sources claim Boyapati crafted an intense action drama tailored for Suriya’s performance range. Fans anticipate explosive elevations and gripping storytelling.
Pre-production work for the Boyapati-Suriya film has reportedly begun, though an official announcement is still awaited from makers. The project will be mounted on a pan-India scale in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and other languages to target North Indian audiences too. Suriya has recently scored success with Karuppu.
Suriya is currently busy with Venky Atluri’s Vishwanath and Sons, slated for August 14, 2026 release and a film with director Jithu Madhavan. If confirmed, the Boyapati collaboration could become one of South India’s most awaited action films. Many believe this venture offers Boyapati a chance to reaffirm his dominance in commercial cinema nationwide.
