Former Andhra Pradesh minister and YSR Congress party leader Mudragada Padmanabha Reddy who has been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad after being hospitalized due to ill health last week, is said to be out of danger.
This was confirmed by senior IPS officer P V Sunil Kumar, who called on Mudragada at the hospital and shared an update on social media.
He stated that the former minister’s condition was improving and that doctors had shifted him from ventilator support to intensive care.
Sunil Kumar added that Mudragada was receiving treatment at the private hospital inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Hyderabad and that family members had expressed satisfaction with the medical care being provided.
It may be recalled that on Tuesday, Mudragada’s daughter Kranthi made emotional remarks regarding her father’s condition.
She said he had been fighting for his life on a ventilator and questioned why YSRCP president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had not visited him.
Kranthi noted that her father had even changed his name in support of Jagan and expressed disappointment that he was not being accorded due respect during a difficult period.
She alleged that political leaders often remember workers and supporters only when they are needed and questioned whether this was the treatment deserved by someone who had worked extensively for the YSRCP.
Other family members, however, have sought to reassure supporters, stating that Mudragada is steadily recovering and there is no cause for concern.
They appealed to the public not to believe rumours regarding his health and expressed confidence that he would soon recover fully and return to public life.
