Premalu 2 not happening. Movie lovers cannot forget Naslen's Premalu, which turned out to be a blockbuster. For long reports came about Premalu sequel.

Now, Naslen speaking to scribes, said “Premalu 2 has officially been cancelled. Dileesh ettan has already spoken about it. Due to certain technical reasons, the project did not reach a perfect landing. Maybe it could happen in the future. But as of now, it has been cancelled. The project was stopped because the script did not achieve the required perfection."

He also said that the door has not been completely shut. According to the actor, the team could revisit the sequel if they eventually find the right story and creative direction.

Premalu starred Naslen and Mamitha Baiju, alongside Sangeeth Prathap, Akhila Bhargavan, Shyam Mohan, Meenakshi Raveendran, Mathew Thomas and Althaf Salim in the direction of Girish AD. The film follows Sachin Santhosh, a graduate from Kerala, plans to move to UK but instead goes to Hyderabad to take a GATE course, where he meets and falls in love with Reenu Roy, an IT company employee.
