Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s comeback film Maa Inti Bangaaram is having a strong run at the box office. Reports say the movie collected 43 crore worldwide in just three days. On Sunday it saw a big jump of around 32 percent compared to Saturday, taking it close to the 50 crore mark.
Trade reports mention there is no major competition right now, so the film is pulling good footfalls across centres. Monday bookings also look encouraging and the first week performance is being watched closely. The movie opened big on Friday, grew on Saturday and went higher on Sunday, showing strong word of mouth. The film is doing well overseas too. News reports say North America collections are nearing 1.3 million dollars, which is about 15 crore in three days. With nearly 4 crore coming from overseas on day 3 alone, the film has already reached breakeven stage. Directed by Nandini Reddy, Maa Inti Bangaaram is set in the 80s and is a female-centric action family drama.
Samantha plays Swarna, a woman with a hidden past as an assassin, and she also produced it under Tra La Pictures with Raj Nidimoru and Himank Duvvuru. Reports add that a large number of women audiences are turning up to watch Samantha on the big screen again, which is boosting the numbers.
