Director Sampath Nandi is very happy after seeing Sharwanand’s work in Bhogi. He said this is the best performance Sharwanand has given in the last 10 years. The film is a pan India project and the director shared his feelings on social media. According to him a recent emotional scene was shot so well that the whole unit got emotional. More than 200 crew members were on set and many had tears in their eyes. Sampath Nandi was so lost in the performance that he forgot to say cut even after the shot was over. Everyone clapped after the scene ended.
He said such a reaction from the full team is rare in his career. He is sure that audience will also feel the same emotion when they watch Bhogi in theaters. The director has full confidence that Sharwanand’s acting will touch every viewer. The film is set in late 1960s near North Telangana and Maharashtra border. Sharwanand plays a strong character named Ganga in this period action drama. Anupama Parameswaran and Dimple Hayathi are the female leads.
Sharwanand has been doing intense roles lately. In Biker he played a former racer in a father son story and lost 23 kg for that look. That change showed his dedication to roles. Now in Bhogi he is trying something new with action and deep emotion together. The story is about struggle and survival during a tough time in that region. The mix of action and feeling makes the film different.
Bhogi is Sharwanand’s first pan India movie and it will release on August 28 2026. With the director’s strong words, fan interest has gone up. People are waiting to see how Sharwanand brings Ganga to life on screen. If the emotional scene can move 200 people on set, it may have the same effect in theaters too.
