Akhil Akkineni’s sixth film, “Lenin”, has been postponed once again.
The film has already gone through multiple release date changes, and producers Nagarjuna and Naga Vamsi have now announced a new date.
Revealing that “Lenin” will hit theaters on July 10, Nagarjuna said the film’s team approached him seeking additional time to deliver their absolute best.
He added that their passion and commitment convinced him to grant the request.
However, the latest postponement has not gone down well with fans and moviegoers.
Many have taken to social media to troll the makers for repeatedly shifting the release date.
Some even sarcastically asked whether the team is making a film on the scale of “Baahubali”, given the number of delays.
The stakes are high for Akhil Akkineni, who is yet to score a blockbuster in his career.
Following the failure of “Agent”, he took a lengthy break and is now returning to the big screen after nearly three years.
The film stars Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead. Interestingly, she too is looking for a breakthrough success, as none of her five films so far have emerged as major hits.
