The official announcement of NTR’s next film with Trivikram Srinivas has made one thing increasingly clear: Devara 2 no longer appears to be part of his immediate plans.
After wrapping up Prashanth Neel’s Dragon, NTR is expected to move straight to Trivikram’s mythological epic, tentatively titled God of War.
Dragon is likely to complete production in the first half of 2027 before releasing later that year. By then, Trivikram is expected to have completed the pre-production work for God of War, with shooting scheduled to begin soon after.
Given the massive scale of the project, the film is expected to remain in production for nearly a year, keeping NTR occupied through 2028. That leaves little to no room in his schedule for Devara 2.
This also explains why NTR has remained silent about the sequel in recent months. Meanwhile, director Koratala Siva has already moved on to his next project with Nandamuri Balakrishna.
Although Devara 2 has not been officially shelved, the current developments suggest that the sequel is unlikely to go on floors anytime soon. Whether it eventually materialises remains uncertain.
