Killing Him Was Easier Siyas Chilling Claim Stuns Cops

In a shocking revelation during custodial interrogation, Lohagad Fort murder accused Siya Goyal allegedly told Pune Rural Police that killing her fiancé, Ketan Agarwal, was “easier” than confronting her family about her unwillingness to marry him.

According to investigators, Siya also claimed that she disliked Ketan because he wore a wig.

When police asked why she never informed her family that she did not want to go ahead with the marriage, she allegedly said she did not want to hurt them.

Police said Siya claimed she believed that eliminating Ketan by pushing him into a gorge at Lohagad Fort would be easier than facing her family and calling off the wedding.

Investigators are now verifying her statement as part of the ongoing probe.

Ketan’s father, Vishal Agarwal, confirmed that his son wore a small hair patch and said Siya and her family had been informed about it before the engagement.

“Wearing a wig cannot be a reason to kill my son,” Agarwal told reporters.

Meanwhile, Pune Rural Police on Friday questioned Siya’s brother, Sahil Goyal, at the district police headquarters.

Investigators are trying to find out whether he was aware of Siya’s relationship with co-accused Chetan Chaudhary and whether he had informed other family members about it.

Police said their investigation has revealed that the Goyal family came to know about Siya’s closeness with Chetan during a community cricket tournament in January.

Investigators suspect that the difference in financial status between the two families may have prompted Siya’s family to arrange her marriage with Ketan.

The questioning of family members and associates is continuing as police try to establish the complete sequence of events that led to the alleged murder.
