For decades, Hyderabad has been the traditional hub for Tollywood filmmakers. But now, Bengaluru is quietly emerging as a new destination for directors and writers from Tollywood for a reason
.
The reason is simple, producer Venkat K. Narayana, who is in short being called KVN.
Based in Bengaluru, KVN has built a reputation for backing ambitious projects and investing heavily in star-driven films.
His first production, Jana Nayagan starring Vijay, is yet to hit the screensbut looks almost shelved for various reasons.
His next big venture, Toxic with Yash, has faced hurdles related to OTT deals and release plans, although it is currently slated for release in August.
KVN has also announced a film with Chiranjeevi under Bobby’s direction, while the title remains under wraps.
At the same time, he has ventured into the mid-budget space with a film featuring Narne Nithin.
In the film industry, creative talent naturally gravitates towards producers who are willing to invest in big sums.
With KVN actively expanding his production slate, without showing signs of fears towards odds, filmmakers from Tollywood are increasingly making trips to his Bengaluru office.
Well, we need to see how many more Telugu films will be lined up KVN in coming days.
