Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke Wednesday said he would appear before a panel of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) over the ban on the group’s X account.
According to reports, the ministry had asked Dipke to visit its headquarters in person on Wednesday and appear for a hearing on the government’s withholding of the CJP’s account.
Taking to his own X account, Dipke posted: “Today at 3 PM, I will personally appear before the Review Committee of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology regarding the withholding of our account, @CJP_2029.”
Dipke is currently leading a sit-in by the CJP at Jantar Mantar and has refused to leave the protest site.
The stir, which entered its fifth day on Wednesday, is calling for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in exams and the NEET paper-leak row.
