at the highest amount he has personally received for writing lyrics is Rs 3.75 lakh.
He also clarified that it is not for Peddi but for some other film for which he is working now.
However, Anantha Sriram added another intriguing detail. He clarified that Rs 3.75 lakh is not the highest remuneration paid to a lyricist in the Telugu film industry.
According to him, the highest known payment for a lyricist stands at Rs 8 lakh.
The revelation immediately sparked curiosity among film enthusiasts and industry followers, as such figures are rarely discussed openly in public interviews.
Though not asked to reveal the name of the lyricist who received the record remuneration, Anantha Sriram also explained that sharing the individual’s name without permission would not be appropriate.
While his response reflected professional courtesy, it has also fueled speculation.
Industry circles are now actively discussing who that lyricist might be and for which film the impressive Rs 8 lakh remuneration was paid.
