The Peddi ticket price hike and 7.5 percent revenue share issue has taken a new turn. Producer Venkata Satish Kilaru from Vriddhi Cinemas LLP said he was not aware of the revenue sharing plan linked to ticket price increase
. He also said he did not attend the main meeting and did not give approval for it.
In a letter to Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce he asked that Peddi be kept out of any new revenue sharing rule. He felt worried about decisions being taken without his knowledge and said it could cause money problems for the film. He added that distributors and exhibitors had already fixed their deals before release.
Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce has now shared its own letter to explain the situation. As per the Chamber the 7.5 percent proposal for single screen theatres was sent to the producer on May 27 2026. They said producers distributors and exhibitors were all part of the talks and everyone got the details early.
The plan was only for the time when ticket price hike is active and not a permanent rule. Exhibitors who got higher ticket prices were expected to share 7.5 percent of the extra amount for a short period. With both sides sharing their letters the issue is now one of the most talked about topics in Telugu film trade. Industry people are waiting to see if Chamber and Peddi team can find a common solution soon.
