As the coalition government in Andhra Pradesh completes two years in office, a performance survey conducted by RISE, a research and consulting organisation headed by psephologist Praveen Pullata, has ranked the state’s top-performing MLAs based on governance, constituency development, public engagement and responsiveness to people’s issues.
The survey assessed elected representatives across the state on parameters such as leadership, performance and commitment to public welfare.
The findings were released as part of a detailed field-level study conducted in 2026.
According to the report, Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Rammohan emerged as the best-performing MLA in Andhra Pradesh, securing the top position.
Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy ranked second, while Palakollu MLA Nimmala Ramanaidu secured third place.
The remaining positions in the top 10 were secured by Gopalapuram MLA Maddipati Venkata Raju, Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao, Kadiri MLA K Venkata Prasad, Vijayawada West MLA Sujana Chowdary, Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna, Bobbili MLA Baby Nayana and Gurazala MLA Yarapathineni Srinivasa Rao.
Interestingly, not a single MLA from the Jana Sena Party, including party president Pawan Kalyan and minister Nadendla Manohar, figured among the top 10 performers, according to RISE founder Praveen Pullata.
He said the legislators in the top 10 had outperformed their colleagues by ensuring transparent and accountable governance and effectively delivering development benefits to the people.
He also noted that a significant number of legislators from North Andhra and the Godavari districts were facing strong public dissatisfaction, according to the survey findings.
