For Chandrababu Naidu, the week began with praise for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and ended with political attacks from the Opposition.
The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister marked 12 years of Modi’s leadership by calling him the right leader at the right time.
Naidu strongly backed Modi’s development vision and said India was moving towards a golden era.
Then, Naidu shifted to his favourite subject: technology.
At a NITI Aayog meeting, he claimed that technology-driven governance was helping Andhra Pradesh attract investments.
He projected the state as a future destination for data, artificial intelligence, infrastructure and advanced industries.
Naidu also pushed officials to develop a unified mobile application for welfare schemes and sanitation services.
His message was clear: one app, tighter monitoring and fewer excuses from officials.
As the NDA government completed two years in office, Naidu declared that Andhra Pradesh had been brought back from the “ventilator stage.”
He blamed the previous government for the state’s financial troubles and claimed that the coalition had restored confidence and put the economy back on track.
But the Opposition was not ready to accept the victory speech.
The YSR Congress organised protests across the state, accusing the government of failing to fulfil promises and neglecting public issues.
The party attempted to turn the government’s two-year celebrations into a report card on unfulfilled commitments.
The political heat increased further over the Mega DSC recruitment process.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy accused Naidu of irregularities and alleged that the process had betrayed lakhs of teacher-job aspirants.
The government rejected the Opposition campaign, while the TDP continued to highlight investments, welfare delivery and infrastructure projects.
Naidu’s week, therefore, had everything he usually prefers – technology presentations, investment claims, Modi praise and tight monitoring of officials.
But it also came with a warning from the Opposition: PowerPoint presentations may create headlines, but people will eventually judge the government by jobs, welfare and results on the ground.
For now, Naidu is projecting Andhra Pradesh as a state moving from crisis to comeback. His rivals, however, insist that the real test has only begun.
