The box office battle between Ram Charan’s Peddi and Jr NTR’s Devara has now turned into a full-blown fan war.
Peddi, which hit theatres on June 4, 2026, has reportedly collected around Rs 193 crore net in India by Day 9. The producers have claimed that the rural sports drama is moving towards Rs 350 crore worldwide.
However, Jr NTR fans are quickly pointing to Devara’s final worldwide collection of around Rs 428 crore.
Ram Charan fans argue that Peddi is performing better in several centres across the Telugu states. They claim the film has recorded stronger multiplex numbers in places such as Hyderabad and Nizamabad and has maintained its hold for more days.
Devara reportedly enjoyed a much bigger advantage in the Hindi market, Karnataka and North America. The film earned around $3.79 million in North America on its opening day alone, while Peddi had collected approximately $3.23 million there after nine days.
This huge overseas gap has become the biggest weapon for Devara supporters.
Peddi fans, meanwhile, say local strength and sustained collections matter more than one strong opening. Devara fans argue that worldwide reach and lifetime earnings are the real measures of success.
As usual, the fight has not stopped with numbers. Both sides are accusing each other of inflated collections, corporate bookings and self-buying of tickets.
With Peddi still running in theatres, the final verdict is not yet out. But one thing is already clear: Ram Charan and Jr NTR may have shared the screen in RRR, but their fans are now fighting one of Tollywood’s hottest box office battles.
