Ram Charan’s Peddi has picked up pace again at the box office after slowing down during the weekdays.
The Buchi Babu Sana-directed sports action drama earned Rs 8.10 crore net in India on Day 10, marking a strong 57.3% jump from Friday’s Rs 5.15 crore.
The film recorded this collection from 3,962 shows across the country.
With this, Peddi’s total India net collection has reached Rs 206.80 crore, while its India gross stands at Rs 245.53 crore.
Overseas, the film added another Rs 1 crore on Day 10, taking its international total to Rs 51 crore.
Peddi’s worldwide gross has now climbed to Rs 296.53 crore, leaving it just a few crores away from the Rs 300 crore mark.
The film opened on June 4 to mixed-to-positive reviews. It witnessed a dip during the weekdays but has managed to regain momentum despite criticism over the portrayal of Janhvi Kapoor’s character.
Peddi has now emerged as the highest-grossing Telugu film of the year and the biggest South Indian grosser, overtaking Karuppu.
Written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas and co-produced by Ishan Saksena under IVY Entertainment. Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings are presenting the project.
The film also features Shiva Rajkumar and Jagapathi Babu in important roles.
