
Farhan Akhtar is in advanced talks with director Neeraj Pandey for a biopic on music legend RD Burman. Known for films like Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Toofaan, Farhan is excited about playing Pancham Da
on screen. Reports say the film will be a tribute to the composer who gave many hit songs in Hindi cinema.
The team has already got rights for several of RD Burman’s iconic tracks which will be key part of the story. The goal is to make an honest and emotional film about his life and music. If things go as planned, Farhan will do deep preparation to get into the character. Makers want to start shooting by end of 2026.
Neeraj Pandey will direct and co-produce with Kamal Jain who produced MS Dhoni The Untold Story and Manikarnika. An official announcement will come once script and pre production work is done. The film is called one of the most ambitious music biopics now in development.
Meanwhile, Farhan’s Don 3 project is facing trouble after Ranveer Singh left due to creative differences. Excel Entertainment is now said to be seeking 45 crore as compensation and the future of Don 3 is not clear.
