Actress Trisha Krishnan has publicly called out fashion giant Zara after allegedly receiving clothes that smelled of body odour for the third time in a row.
She did not reveal what she had ordered, but her complaint was blunt.
The actress did not speculate on how the clothes ended up smelling that way. However, complaints of this nature often raise suspicions that items may have previously been tried on or returned before being repacked for another customer.
For Trisha, the fact that it had allegedly happened three times in succession appeared to be the final straw.
She reposted a note about perimenopause that read: “I once heard a doctor explain that perimenopause is when your people-pleasing hormones fade away and your IDGAF hormones take over and I couldn’t have said it better myself.”
Trisha added a “fact” sticker to the post, apparently endorsing the sentiment.
The post stood out because leading actresses in Indian cinema rarely speak openly about ageing or topics such as perimenopause.
At 43, Trisha is currently enjoying one of the strongest phases of her career.
Her latest release, Karuppu, starring Suriya and directed by RJ Balaji, opened to mixed reviews but went on to become a major box-office success.
The fantasy courtroom drama reportedly crossed Rs 300 crore worldwide, emerging as one of the biggest Tamil hits of 2026 and another major success in Trisha’s impressive post-pandemic run.
She had already delivered notable films including the Ponniyin Selvan franchise and Leo.
Off screen, however, much of the attention surrounding Trisha this year has focused on her long-time co-star Vijay.
The two have worked together in films including Ghilli, Thirupaachi, Kuruvi and Leo, and their public appearances have repeatedly triggered speculation on social media.
Trisha reportedly visited Vijay’s Chennai residence on counting day, which also coincided with her 43rd birthday, while the two had earlier been spotted attending a wedding reception in Chennai.
Those appearances have kept long-running rumours alive.
But this time, it is not a film, a political connection or a relationship rumour that has put Trisha in the headlines.
It is a brutally direct complaint to Zara: check the clothes — and apparently smell them — before packing the next order.
