Vijayalakshmi was taken into custody after investigators confirmed that she was the caretaker seen in the viral video allegedly assaulting the children. The police booked all five accused under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act.
