Jailer 2, directed by Nelson with music by Anirudh, was earlier planned for Summer 2026. Vishwambhara, a fantasy action film by Vassishta, was delayed from Sankranthi 2025 due to heavy VFX. If both stick to Dasara, theatres across Telugu states will witness huge competition.

This clash recalls August 2023 when Jailer faced Bhola Shankar. Rajinikanth’s film grossed over Rs 650 crore worldwide, dominating Telugu states, while Bhola Shankar tastes failure. That one-sided result still trends online, adding pressure on Vishwambhara to deliver this festive season.
