Initially, Vaishnavi Chaitanya was cast as the female lead, but later, Gouri Priya replaced her.</p> <p>During Epic promotions, Vaishnavi was asked about the same, to which she replied, “Yes, I was part of that film in the beginning. I couldn’t do it because I was a part of something else during that time. But I am very happy for the team that it brought them a nice success. Sometimes, we just couldn’t be a part of a film because we would have committed to some other project.”</p> <p>Vaishnavi Chaitanya made it clear that there were no other reasons why she didn’t feature in Chennai Love Story apart from scheduling conflicts.
