Every year, Chiranjeevi’s birthday is celebrated with a special gathering organised by Mega fans, and usually one of the Mega heroes attends the event.
This year too, a similar celebration was held. But one common point stood out in almost every speech.
From Bandla Ganesh and Hyper Aadi to Bobby and BVS Ravi, everyone repeatedly stressed that Chiranjeevi never pulled anyone down in the industry.
The reason behind this strong response is obvious.
For nearly a month, Chiranjeevi has been facing heavy trolling on social media, with one section repeatedly alleging that he had “suppressed” or “blocked” several people in the industry.
The trolling went on for weeks and became one of the longest-running social media debates around Chiranjeevi in recent times.
They posted old movie clips, speeches and videos of Chiranjeevi helping and encouraging others, turning the issue into a full-fledged online battle.
As a result, Chiranjeevi’s name remained in the middle of both positive and negative discussions for almost a month.
The same topic dominated his birthday celebrations as well.
Hyper Aadi, in his own style, said Chiranjeevi had only “crushed” negative thinking and many myths in the film industry.
He said Chiranjeevi had never pulled anyone down and had instead helped many people rise in their careers. According to him, Chiranjeevi always encouraged talent and gave people opportunities whenever he recognised their potential.
The repeated references from different speakers made one thing clear: the recent trolling has clearly upset the Mega camp.
Even after crossing 70, Chiranjeevi continues to remain active in films, doing back-to-back projects and maintaining his trademark grace and screen presence.
And going by the mood at the birthday event, his supporters are in no mood to stay silent when he is targeted.
