Vijays Jana Nayagan Refund Shock Shakes Trade Circles

Chief Minister and actor Vijay has reportedly taken a stunning call on his much-awaited film Jana Nayagan, sending shockwaves through Tamil film trade circles.

According to Tamil media reports, Vijay has instructed KVN Productions to cancel all existing theatrical agreements for the film.

Distributors who had already acquired the theatrical rights are now expected to receive full refunds.

Trade circles say such a massive refund exercise is almost unheard of in the South Indian film industry.

However, Vijay is said to be highly confident about Jana Nayagan’s box-office potential.

He reportedly believes the film has the strength to become a massive blockbuster whenever it finally hits theatres.

That confidence appears to have pushed the makers to give up the safety of pre-sold theatrical rights and take a bigger gamble on the film’s eventual success.
