Drishyam 3 may have received mixed reactions from critics, but the Mohanlal-starrer has turned into a box-office juggernaut.
The film has reportedly grossed Rs 226.55 crore worldwide in less than 14 days, entering the list of the top five highest-grossing Malayalam films of all time.
Amid growing speculation about a possible fourth instalment, director Jeethu Joseph has clarified that he has no concrete plans for Drishyam 4 as of now.
Speaking about the film’s post-credit scene, Jeethu said the scene was originally meant to be part of the main film. However, it was later moved to the end after discussions around the possibility of another sequel.
“That scene was meant to be part of the main film,” he said, adding that he would make another film only if he gets a truly extraordinary idea.
“If I get an extraordinary idea, I will attempt it; otherwise, I won’t,” Jeethu Joseph said.
