Hrithik Roshan Hints That He Is Not Happy With The Roles Being Offered To Him Bollywood

Actor Hrithik Roshan seems to be ready to shake up his on-screen image. The actor has hinted that he is keen to step away from the “good guy” roles he has long been associated with and explore darker characters. Hrithik admitted that directors tend to approach him only for positive roles, a perception he finds somewhat disappointing.

In the photograph, which captures a nighttime moment on a Paris street, with the illuminated Eiffel Tower standing tall in the background, Hrithik is seen posing for a selfie. He is seen wearing a black cap, dark jacket and a scarf.

Sharing the image, Hrithik wrote, “Just got asked what's the kind of role I'm looking for. And I surprised myself when it came to me. Remember Zaffar from Luck by Chance? That's the one.”

“I'd jump on something like that. But directors only wanna see me play the good guy. Sad,” added the actor.

The actor was referring to Zaffar, the charismatic yet deeply flawed movie star he played in a special appearance in Luck By Chance (2009). The film was written and directed by Zoya Akhtar. Despite his limited screen time, the character left a lasting impression on audiences and continues to be celebrated as one of Hrithik’s most memorable performances. The film also featured Farhan Akhtar, Konkana Sen Sharma, late Rishi Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Juhi Chawla, Sanjay Kapoor, Isha Sharvani, Alyy Khan, and Sheeba Chaddha.

Zoya was among the first to react to Hrithik’s post, playfully urging him to meet her. “Let’s get that coffee,” Zoya wrote in the comment section.

Hrithik made his grand Bollywood debut as a lead actor with Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai alongside Ameesha Patel. The actor was last seen in War 2, which failed to elicit the expected response.

On the professional front, Hrithik is gearing up to make his directorial debut with Krrish 4. The highly anticipated superhero film is being produced by Yash Raj Films in collaboration with Rakesh Roshan, with Hrithik not only directing the project but also starring in it. In addition to this, the actor is set to step into the OTT space as a producer with Storm, a thriller set in Mumbai, being developed for Prime Video.
