1955 letter mysteriously returns to Christ Episcopal Church in Alameda after 71 years, but the woman named inside died decades ago
In 1955, a letter containing Pamela Jean Haslams baptismal certificate was mailed to Christ Episcopal Church in Alameda, California. The envelope was postmarked October 26, 1955, but somehow never reached the church. It apparently remained lost within the postal system for 71 years. Then, on August 20, 2026, it was returned to the church marked “return to sender” for an “insufficient address.”
