The Pune municipal corporation (PMC) plans to upgrade nine civic hospitals with modern medical facilities, including modular operation theatres (OTs), intensive care units (ICUs) and neonatal intensive care units (NICUs), to improve treatment and reduce referrals to private and tertiary-care hospitals.
