Mexico will accept reduced Colorado River water allocations under a new binational agreement. This accord, known as Minute 334, aims to manage dwindling water resources effectively. The agreement allows Mexico to store some water in Lake Mead for future use. Environmental restoration efforts in the Colorado River Delta will also continue with joint funding. This deal offers stability for water users while US states still negotiate their own cuts.
