This marked the fourth consecutive time that India brought the silverware home, having previously won the 2015, 2023, and 2024 editions of the tournament. With the Asia Cup win in 2026, India became the first team in the history of the sport to win the competition for four times in a row. Overall, this was the sixth time that India have emerged triumphant in the Men's Junior Hockey Asia Cup. Earlier in the day, the women's team had also won the competition after beating China 1-0 in the summit clash.
