Yash has responded in his own style to the trolling surrounding the latest song from Toxic.
During his appearance on Aap Ki Adalat, Yash laughed off the comparison and said, “If I have to do a condom ad, I will do it for money. I won’t do it for free.”
The actor also addressed the wider discussion around intimacy and sexuality in Toxic.
Yash said he understands the difference between sensuality and vulgarity and insisted that the film does not cross that line.
“Vulgarity is wrong. I haven’t even kissed, if you noticed. There is a certain line, and we understand that. Things have to be shot aesthetically. What finally looks visually appealing is also the impact of cinema and the creator’s vision,” he said.
Yash also explained that Toxic is aimed strongly at Gen Z and deals with the questions younger people often ask about older generations, traditions and fixed social rules.
According to him, the film explores why certain rules exist, why people are expected to behave in a particular way and why younger generations often challenge those ideas.
He said these generational conflicts and questions form an important part of the film’s central conversation.
Toxic is scheduled to release on August 26.
The film is jointly produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations and will release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, along with its original English and Kannada versions.
