Big-budget films usually spend a large amount on actor remunerations. In some recent movies, almost 50% of the total budget was reportedly spent only on salaries. Now, Toxic is also said to have joined that list. According to recent reports, KVN Productions has spent heavily on the star cast of the film. The biggest amount has reportedly gone to Yash. According to recent reports, KVN Productions has spent heavily on the star cast of the film.
The biggest amount has reportedly gone to Yash. He is said to have received around Rs 50 crore as remuneration for Toxic.
Considering Yash’s pan-India popularity, this amount may not look very high when compared with stars like Prabhas, who reportedly charge around Rs 100 crore. There have also been reports that Allu Arjun entered the Rs 100 crore club after Pushpa 2.
But there is a twist in Yash’s case. Apart from his Rs 50 crore remuneration, he is also associated with the film as a co-producer. So, his overall earnings from the project could eventually cross the Rs 100 crore mark.
Kiara Advani has also reportedly received a huge pay cheque. For playing the role of Nadia, she is said to have earned around Rs 15 crore.
However, Kiara is not the highest-paid actress in the film.
Nayanthara, who plays an important role rather than the regular heroine, has reportedly received around Rs 18 crore. Considering her strong market in Tamil cinema, the makers are said to have paid her a premium amount.
Rukmini Vasanth, who also plays a key role, is said to have received around Rs 3 crore.
Huma Qureshi, who plays Elizabeth, and Tara Sutaria, who plays Rebecca, have reportedly been paid around Rs 2 crore each.
With such a huge star cast and expensive remunerations, Toxic is clearly one of the costliest films in terms of talent fees.
The gangster drama is scheduled to hit theatres on the 26th of this month.
