Texas Telugus Face Rising Political Pressure

For some time, members of the Telugu community in Texas have faced allegations from influencers claiming that certain individuals are running businesses on inappropriate visas, overstaying, or violating immigration rules. These claims have created anxiety and uncertainty within the community.

Now, some community members are disturbed to see similar scrutiny coming from politicians, with questions being raised about immigration status and documentation.

The timing has added to the concern. With the midterm election season approaching in roughly two months, immigration has become a stronger political issue.

Many feel that any allegations should be investigated through proper legal procedures rather than through intimidation or public pressure. However, some politicians appear keen to use the issue to appeal to voters.

Another concern is that not everyone may be able to immediately produce every official record or document when questioned unexpectedly.

Even people who believe they have done nothing wrong are feeling nervous about whether they can satisfy politicians or officials when confronted over complex immigration matters.

As a result, many legitimate business owners and residents are making sure their documents, licences, tax records and immigration paperwork are properly organised and easily available if they are asked to provide proof.

This atmosphere has reportedly created a level of fear that many non-citizen Telugu residents in Texas say they have not experienced before.

Some community members feel that ordinary daily life is increasingly being overshadowed by uncertainty surrounding immigration enforcement and political scrutiny.

Political accountability and immigration enforcement are legitimate issues, but they should be handled fairly, consistently and within the law.

People accused of violations deserve due process, while those following the rules should not be made to feel threatened or publicly targeted.

Fraudsters GC should be revoked and deported. Whole of Indian community in US should support this and the local communities to gain respect and confidence of the public. Defending them until proven guilty won’t work here as this system will sure find the culprit. Respect their law and community to live there
