Using body doubles for risky action stunts is common in the film industry, especially for physically demanding or dangerous sequences.
There have also been reports and rumours that Prabhas relied heavily on body doubles for some portions of his recent films.
However, producer Pranay Reddy Vanga has now clarified that no body double is being used for Prabhas in Spirit. According to him, there is not a single shot in the film featuring a dupe for the actor.
He said director Sandeep Reddy Vanga generally does not use body doubles in his films and that Prabhas himself is performing the scenes and action sequences in Spirit.
Pranay Reddy Vanga also confirmed that more than 40 per cent of the shooting has been completed and that the film is progressing as planned for its March 5, 2027 release.
The producer further praised Prabhas for his commitment to the project, saying the actor is willing to work long hours whenever required, sometimes putting in 18-hour working days.
Spirit features Prabhas as a police officer and marks his 25th film. It is also his first collaboration with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the director of Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh.
Mounted as an intense action drama, Spirit is one of the most anticipated films in Prabhas’ upcoming lineup.
