Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the second phase of the Seed Access Road, a steel bridge over Buckingham Canal and MLA quarters in Amaravati.
Minister P Narayana reportedly met Pawan only a day before the programmes and invited him.
Jana Sena circles are said to be questioning whether such a late invitation was appropriate, especially when Pawan has a busy schedule as Deputy Chief Minister.
Pawan was in Visakhapatnam on Thursday to attend a national event related to World Elephant Day. His absence from Chandrababu’s Amaravati programmes naturally triggered political speculation.
There is already talk that Pawan may not be fully comfortable with some of the policies being followed by Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh.
However, Pawan has never publicly expressed dissatisfaction with the alliance. In fact, he has repeatedly said that the coalition should continue together for many more years.
That is why his recent behaviour is attracting attention.
There are also allegations of irregularities in the construction of MLA quarters. Political circles are now speculating that Pawan may be deliberately staying away from issues that could create public criticism.
Jana Sena, meanwhile, has not officially responded to reports of a growing gap between Pawan and the TDP.

Instead of denying the speculation, Jana Sena appears to be watching how the public reacts. This wait-and-watch approach is reportedly making sections of the TDP uncomfortable.
