Gulati began her career as an actor, making her television debut with Yeh Pyaar Na Hoga Kam in 2009 and later appearing in shows and web series including Girls Hostel, The Raikar Case, Made in Heaven and Your Honor.
Alongside acting, she gradually built a business that would become an important part of her career. That business was Nish Hair, the hair extensions brand she launched in 2017. The company was valued at around Rs 50 crore when Gulati appeared on Shark Tank India Season 2 in 2023, while its 2024-2025 revenue stood at around Rs 34 crore.
One of the most personal moments of the tour comes when Gulati shows Archana and Parmeet an old sewing machine, which she has preserved from the early days of her business.
“This is a sewing machine. The first Nish hair was made on this. We started on this.”
What began with Gulati and her mother working from their living room eventually grew into a much larger business. Nish Hair recorded around Rs 34 crore in revenue in FY25, compared with around Rs 14 crore in FY24. Its profit after tax was around Rs 8.4 crore.
The 4 BHK duplex has a warm, contemporary feel. The living room features a large indoor swing, wooden elements and rattan-style light fixtures, while the dining area has a large wooden table.
Large windows bring natural light into the house, and the interiors combine modern furniture with personal pieces. During the tour, Archana also points out that the house feels lived-in rather than excessively staged.
There is a second living area that doubles as a workspace. A whiteboard filled with tasks and targets offers a glimpse into Gulati’s daily routine and the work that goes into running her business.
The kitchen has a modern modular design with grey cabinetry and dark countertops. Gulati explains that her mother specifically wanted a proper drawer-style kitchen, making functionality an important part of the design.
The upper level has two bedrooms, both belonging to Gulati. One doubles up as a cosy projector and TV room where she can unwind, while the other is her master bedroom, which offers expansive views of the city. Both rooms have a comfortable, personal feel, with decor reflecting Gulati’s style.
One of the standout spaces in the 4 BHK duplex is its expansive terrace. The outdoor area has greenery, a bar-style counter, seating, a dartboard and views of Mumbai.
The terrace is also where Gulati has hosted celebrations. During the tour, she revealed that she has used the space for both her birthday party and a celebration for her pet dog Malik, who recently turned one.
“I had my birthday party and Malik’s birthday party. Malik just turned one year old. There were many dogs. It was like a dog party.”
Gulati was also recently seen on Season 2 of The Traitors, where she was eliminated from the reality show.
