The luxury housing market in Kokapet appears to be facing a slowdown, especially for very large apartments.
According to real estate circles, flats measuring above 5,000 sq ft are not selling as easily as builders expected.
Over the last few years, several major developers launched ultra-luxury projects in Kokapet, targeting wealthy buyers, business families and NRIs. Many of these projects offered very large apartments with premium amenities and high-end specifications.
However, the demand for such oversized flats now appears to be limited.
While buyers are still showing interest in premium homes, many are reportedly becoming cautious when the apartment size crosses 5,000 sq ft because the total purchase price becomes very high.
As a result, some big builders are finding it difficult to clear inventory in this segment.
