Lingamaneni Sanjush has issued a clarification over the August 16 road accident, saying he did not flee the spot and instead took the injured Bharathi Mukhi to hospital in his own vehicle.
Sanjush said that immediately after the accident, he tried to ensure that Bharathi received medical help at the earliest.
He said he personally shifted her to hospital and made every possible effort to get her treated. However, Bharathi later died while undergoing treatment.
Sanjush said his actions after the accident should also be taken into account while examining the case.
Sanjush further said that he did not disappear after the incident and voluntarily went to the police station.
According to him, he informed police officers about what had happened and cooperated fully with the investigation.
He said that taking Bharathi to hospital immediately after the accident and then reporting the incident to the police showed that he had cooperated with the legal process from the beginning.
Sanjush also said police conducted medical tests to check his condition at the time of the accident.
According to him, a breath analyser test, urine test and blood test were conducted, and all three reportedly returned negative results.
Sanjush said he would continue to fully cooperate with the police investigation and provide any information required by the authorities.
He also said he has complete faith in the country’s legal and judicial system and expressed hope that the investigation would bring out the full facts surrounding the accident.
Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances before and after the incident.

He was driving too fast, and it was his fault. As the incident gained public attention, he is managing to control the situation through his influence, but he cannot escape the consequences. If his fault resulted in the death of an innocent girl, a thorough police investigation is necessary.
